UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the assassination attempts targeted Ahmed al-Sharaa during his visits to the governorates of Aleppo and Daraa.
He explained that the plans were attributed to a group called "Saraya Ansar al-Sunna," which is dubbed as a front for the ISIS terrorist organization.
The report estimated the number of ISIS terrorists at about 3,000 in Syria and Iraq, with the majority concentrated within Syrian territory.
