Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad received on Saturday Indian Foreign Minister, Yashwant Sinha and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, talks focused on bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing their desire to develop commercial, economic and political relations, as well as the situation in Palestine and Iraq.
According to SANA, President al-Assad highlighted India’s important role in Asia and the international arena, and called for a more active Indian role in the Middle East and the peace process. (Albawaba.com)
