Syrian First Lady, Asma’ Al-Assad on Monday received Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak.
During the meeting, talks focused on concerns facing Arab women, the outcome of the last Arab Women’s Summit which was held in the Jordanian capital of Amman as well as means of achieving Arab women requirements for the welfare of the family, society and homeland, the official Syrian Arab News Agency reported.
Both sides discussed the foundation steps for the establishment of the Arab Women Organization, which emerged from the first Arab Women’s Summit and the completion of its establishment, especially since Syria was among the first countries to call for the formation of a new Arab League affiliated organization, the agency concluded.
