The fourth convoy carrying relief aid from Syria’s citizens to their brothers in occupied Palestine departed Wednesday morning. It included within it 16 trucks, loaded with over 300 tons of basic food stuff, SANA news agency said.
In a statement to reporters, Chairman of the Syrian Popular Committee for Supporting the Intifada and Resisting Zionist project, Ahmad Abdul-Karim stressed that this aid came as part of efforts exerted by the committee to meet part of the needs of the Palestinian people, who are suffering from the Israeli imposed siege.
In addition, he said the committee also approved financial aid to be sent to the Palestinian people, in an amount of USD 420 thousands. (Albawaba.com)
