Syria's First Lady, Asmaa' Al-Assad, received in Damascus on Tuesday a delegation representing children on the occasion of the World’s Children Day.
The first lady was briefed on the delegation’s proposals as to set up a media channel for children as well as on the delegation’s ideas regarding care about the disabled.
Assad, for her part, stressed the importance of providing the children with all they needed, especially educational, cultural and social needs and urged children to excel in their studies, according to SANA.
The First Lady spoke with the delegation about different social educational and cultural issues as well as about the children’s accomplishments achieved in Syria under the leadership of the late President, Hafez Assad and pursued by President Bashar al-Assad, in the process of reform and modernization.
