Damascus radio on Saturday said that the US President George W. Bush, in his speech Friday at the first anniversary of the start of the war on Iraq, ignored the issue of non-finding the Weapons of Mass Destructions in Iraq which was the U.S. pretext to occupy Iraq.

"The one who examines carefully the US President Bush speech, finds that occupation in his understanding means freedom and generalization of this freedom in the Greater Middle East means to put it under the US occupation." the radio, which reflects the government views, said.

The radio political commentary underlined that approval of such policy means to subdue to the US policy dictations instead of the UN charter and law and imposing the power law on the international arena.

The radio noted that what draws the attention in Bush’s speech was his saying that, through his war on Iraq, he carried out what the international community demanded.

The radio wondered whether looking to the world through the eyes of the US Administration makes it away from terrorism and more security, stability and more justice. (Albawaba.com)
