A top Swiss hotel consortium is continuing its drive to attract visitors from the Middle East by announcing a series of innovative winter packages.
Three-, four- and seven-night packages are on offer at the four Seiler Hotels and the Riffelalp Resort 2222m located in Zermatt in the Swiss Alps. The packages each focus on different elements including skiing, gastronomy and luxurious spa treatments.
Zermatt is a picturesque car-free village situated in the gaze of the famous Matterhorn mountain, four hours from Zurich and three hours from Geneva. It offers top-class skiing amid spectacular scenery and has just been named as the ‘Best European Resort’ over the past decade by the annual British ski guidebook, ‘Where to Ski and Snowboard’.
Seiler Hotel’s packages are available from the end of November to mid-April with prices for three nights starting at just CHF 1,225 (approx US$ 953) including breakfast, five-course dinner, ski rental and four-day ski pass. Seven-night ski packages start at CHF 1,459 (approx US$ 1,135), which is inclusive of a six-day ski pass and breakfast.
“Zermatt is renowned for its beauty and great skiing, as its recent award proves. Our range of packages will hopefully encourage visitors from the Middle East to discover it for themselves, whether they are keen to get out onto the ski slopes or just want to enjoy the scenery and relax,” said Martin Sonderegger, director of sales & marketing for Seiler Hotels.
Ski enthusiasts can try the seven-night winter ski package at the Riffelalp Resort 2222m, Europe’s highest five-star resort. It includes a six-day ski pass, dinner and free entrance to the resort’s leisure facilities from CHF 2,750 (approx US$ 2,140) per person.
The seven-night Ski and Gastronomy Safari at the Hotel Schweizerhof, from CHF 2,110 (approx US$ 1,642) per person, is perfect for food lovers. It includes ski hire, ski pass, breakfast buffet and a nightly dinner in one of the 12 Seiler Hotel restaurants around town. The Schweizerhof is also offering five night’s accommodation for the price of four for pre-Christmas breaks between December 17 and 24.
For non-skiers, the five-star Mont Cervin Palace offers a pampering ‘Simply Beautiful’ spa package with different treatments for men and women including the delicious-sounding “brown sugar” exfoliation treatment for him and the “Swiss cream and honey” skin nourishment treatment for her. The four-night package costs from CHF 1,565 (approx US$ 1,218) per person.
The Hotel Nicoletta specialises in family holidays and has play facilities, children’s mealtimes and the Nico Kids Club, which keeps little ones amused with exciting activities including horse-drawn carriage rides, sledging, baking and painting. A seven-night package costs from CHF 2,205 (approx US$ 1,716) per children’s room and CHF 2,905 (approx US$ 2,261) per parents’ room.
