South Korea urged its citizens on Tuesday to leave Kuwait, Iraq, and Israel as tension in the region is on the rise with a possible US strike against Iraq, South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement broadcast by the international Korean radio Tuesday.
South Korean diplomatic missions had recommended its citizens to leave the three countries several times, but few people had responded, the radio added, cited by KUNA news agency.
The ministry's statement said that the government would send planes to the region this month to carry its citizens away from the region.
In addition, the ministry called on those who wish to visit the Middle East to postpone their visit until the situation in the region settles down. (Albawaba.com)
