Former Saudi Arabian intelligence chief Prince Turki al-Faisal, who has acknowledged meeting Osama bin Laden several times before 1994, has been nominated to become the kingdom's ambassador to London, a Saudi source said Monday.
"Faisal is a candidate to succeed ambassador Ghazi al-Gossaibi as the head of the Saudi embassy in London," the source, who requested anonymity told AFP, adding it was likely Faisal would be appointed. Faisal left the job of head of intelligence chief in August 2001.
Meanwhile, Gossaibi, for his part, was appointed in September to head the water ministry in the Saudi Kingdom. (Albawaba.com)
