Three American passengers caused the delay of an Egyptian flight from New York to Cairo for more than six hours Friday, according to the daily Al Ahram.
The passengers were found busy shopping at the airport free duty shop.
When the captain of the EgyptAir Boeing 777 discovered that three passengers had not boarded the flight, he informed the airline’s New York office.
The 314 passengers had to evacuate the plane and their luggage was sorted out.
