Eight members of a Saudi family and their Indonesian maid were killed when their van collided with another car, as another six people died in a four-car pileup.

A father, his mother, two wives and thirteen children were on the Riyadh-Taif highway when a vehicle hit them after its driver lost control in a tire burst. Only two of the family members escaped uninjured.

Six passengers of the car were injured in the Saturday night accident, Al-Riyadh daily reported Monday.

Meanwhile, six people died and 12 others were wounded on the Ahsa-Dammam road in the Eastern Province when four cars collided. Five Saudis, including four women, were killed in one of the vehicles. (Albawaba.com)
