Saudi Arabia's agriculture ministry announced Tuesday that 3,800 cases of foot-and-mouth disease had been detected in 67 sites, reported the official SPA news agency.
"Sixty-seven sites of the foot-and-mouth pandemic had been detected Tuesday in the regions of Riyadh, Medina, Mecca and in the western provinces," the ministry said in a statement quoted by the agency.
The statement reports 3,818 animals infected by the contagious disease, including 326 already slaughtered – Albawaba.com
