Samsung Electronics, the digital technology innovator, announced the launch of its latest, state-of-the-art, SGH-E760 mobile phone in Middle East. This is the first phone in the Middle East to offer consumers an unprecedented ‘3D motion recognition’ experience.
The new SGH-E760 weighing 88.4 grams, blends its ‘motion and peace’ themed-design with advanced features including MP3 player, 1.3-megapixel camera, MPEG4 video recording, digital imaging in a high-quality 262-K LCD display, embedded stereo speakers, Bluetooth stereo headset and a superior printing solution among other state-of-the-art features.
Launching the first-of-its-kind mobile phone in the region, Mr. J.H.Park, President, Samsung Gulf Electronics (SGE) said: “The launch of the SGH-E760 marks an important step towards Samsung’s long term goal of achieving the leadership position in the regional mobile communications industry. In many markets across the region, we have narrowed the gap between Samsung and the foremost mobile phone player and, we believe, with its superior capabilities, the SGH-E760 will strengthen our position, while bringing renewed vitality to Middle East’s mobile communications market.
Advanced technology coupled with round-design functionality, the GPRS tri-band SGH- E760 phone communicates the simple refinement of modernity. Elegant, light-weight and packed with latest features, the phone is designed to activate a user’s mobile lifestyle with one of the most innovative features on the market - a ‘motion recognition interface’ that can activate functions with the movement of the hand.
The idea for the E760 came to Samsung designer Tetsu Miyazawa from an unlikely place – his car. Inspired by the contrast between the smooth and circular shape of the speed gauge and the powerful sleek lines of the dashboard, he thought these contrasting shapes and styles would make a great design for a mobile phone.
In addition to the stunning minimal-design look, the phone’s motion recognition technology enables a user to create a music ‘beat-box’, setting the phone distinctly apart from the other music mobile phones available on the market. After selecting a particular sound from the menu box such as ‘drum,’ ‘scratch’ or ‘clap’ the mobile phone re-creates a rhythm in harmony with the hand-movement of the user. Furthermore, by moving the phone to the right, on selection of the MP3 function, the phone plays the next tune on the song list, and on moving it to the left, it moves back to the previous track. Also games can be played on the phone by mere hand movements instead of the buttons
“Samsung has been reckoned regionally, as well as globally, for introducing a number of optimal features to its phones that has contributed to raising the performance benchmark in the regional communications industry. The SGH-E760, which speaks volumes about Samsung’s strong technological capabilities, will put the power of this mobile revolution in the hands of the users. With its sleek finish, high quality design and innovative functionality, the SGH–E760, we believe, will be the new icon for Middle East mobile phone industry, concluded Mr. Sandeep Saihgal, Sales and Marketing Manager, Telecommunications division
