Iraqi President Saddam Hussein ordered on Sunday that 25,000 dollars be paid to Palestinians for each house destroyed by Israeli forces in the West Bank refugee camp of Jenin.

"After studying the criminal Zionist deeds in Palestine, President Saddam ordered, during a weekly Cabinet meeting, 25,000 dollars to be allocated for each house demolished in Jenin refugee camp," the official Iraqi News Agency reported.

Iraq already has been making payments of up to 25,000 dollars to families of Palestinian suicide bombers since the Israeli-Palestinian clashes began in September 2000.

The United States, which has declared the removal of Saddam its goal, has criticized Iraq's payments to the families of suicide bombers.

Earlier this month, Baghdad has announced a unilateral 30-day cut of its oil exports in an attempt to force Israel to end its attacks on the Palestinians. (Albawaba.com)
