Reporters without Borders (RSF) have called on the Tunisian government to heed to the demands of the eight opposition activities, which started an indefinite hunger strike on October 18. The strikers demand the government to respect freedom of expression and association in Tunisia and to release all prisoners of conscience. All Africa reports that the hunger strikers are headed by Lotfi Hajji, head of the Tunisian Journalists Union (SJT).
