Reports surfaced in Beirut Monday that plans had been in the works to assassinate Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
Al-Safir daily reported that a 10-member Palestinian and Lebanese cell planned to target Nasrallah during his way to one of Lebanon's "National Dialogue" meetings held last month.
The group reportedly held rockets capable of penetrating an armed vehicle, in addition to other armaments such as Kalishnokov rifles, hand grenades and pistols, according to the Saudi Al Watan newspaper.
The men kept close watch of Nasrallah's movements, and had inducted several undercover operatives to assist in their efforts.
