Egypt's President Mubarak is sending a special high-ranking Egyptian envoy to the Palestinian Authority and Israel on Wednesday in an effort to prevent a further deterioration of the political situation.
Sources told the London-based Asharq Al Awsat that the envoy will convey a message to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres, warning them against endangering the life of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
Arafat on Tuesday called Mubarak, urging him to interfere to stop the war declared by Sharon on the PA, in which facilities near Arafat's offices in Gaza and Ramallah were destroyed by Israeli warplanes - Albawaba.com
