Iran has arrested two nuclear experts for passing nuclear secrets to "foreigners" in what could turn out to be the first such arrests inside Iran's nuclear industry, a newspaper reported Wednesday, quoting an informed source as saying.
"The two nuclear experts, who were transferring classified information abroad, were arrested by security agents after an extensive investigation," Reuters reported, citing Ya-Lesarat weekly.
Such offences against the Islamic Republic's security interests could carry the death penalty. It should be added that no other such arrests have ever been reported.(Albawaba.com)
