As part of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) Back To School Surprises, Rainbow Quality Milk got mums and kids together to learn about the importance of a healthy balanced diet, particularly the inclusion of milk, in a fun and entertaining way.

The kids got to learn about the 27 essential vitamins and minerals that go to make up a healthy diet, while mums were helped to understand why the components are essential to the growth of children. Rainbow Milk has always incorporated the 27 vitamins and minerals in their range of products, including drinking milk, evaporated milk and milk powder.

One of the activities saw parents trying to put together healthy packed lunches for every day of the week, while kids were invited to participate in a game of Mix and Match, which asked them to match vitamins and minerals with their benefits. There was also a fastest milk drinking competition, to see who could drink the most milk in the shortest time.

A nutritionist from one of the UAE’s leading hospitals was on hand to educate parents on the importance of nutrition, particularly ensuring that children receive milk as part of their daily diet, obesity in children from poor diets, vitamins and minerals and how food groups influence health and growth.
