The International Journalists’ Federation and the Arab Journalists’ Union are to hold in April a joint meeting in the Moroccan capital of Rabat on the role of media in international conflicts.
The decision was made on the sidelines of the international federation’s executive bureau meeting, which took place in Brussels between November 16-18.
Secretary General of the Moroccan journalists union (SNPM) said the meeting will also help consolidate dialogue between the two federations, according to Maghreb Arabe Presse.
Meanwhile, Rabat will host a conference of Mediterranean women journalists at a date to be set later on.
More than 500,000 journalists from 100 different countries are members of the Brussels-based international federation of journalists. (Albawaba.com)
