Pistache, which started operations in Abu Dhabi over a decade ago, will begin its expansion with the opening of three stores in the emirates before the end of the year, giving people who enjoy chocolate better access to their favourite treat.

The first of the three stores to open will be in Dubai’s Abu Hail area; the store will open by the end of April 2006. With the company’s present focus on Dubai, Pistache is participating as Diamond Sponsor in The Bride Show 2006, which begins tomorrow (April 4) at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (Hall 1, Stand 28).

Its participation in the four-day event is aimed at highlighting the variety and quality of Pistache chocolates, as it prepares for its re-launch in Dubai. Pistache made its first foray into Dubai in 1997, discontinuing operations last October to develop a new strategy for the Dubai market, with an emphasis on the corporate sector.

An institution in the capital, the company is presently undergoing a renewal that seeks to marry its history as a quality enterprise with its objectives for the new century. As part of this is the redesign of the interiors of Pistache stores. The new Dubai store will be the first store in the Pistache retail network to incorporate the company’s signature new look.

Designed to reflect the luxurious richness of chocolate, the interiors makes clever use of wood, with strategic lighting to enhance the décor’s appeal. “The one area in which the store will remain similar to the older Pistache stores is in its maintenance of only the highest standards of product quality and variety,” said Matar Al Hosani, General Manager, Pistache.

Backed by knowledgeable and well-trained sales staff and an experienced team of designers, the company strives to offer and provide a special and unique selection that goes hand in hand with making the gifting of Pistache chocolates a happy occasion.

“Gifting chocolate is personal – it is used to capture the moment; being a chocolatier, for us at Pistache it’s not only about selling chocolate but ensuring a memorable experience. This is our objective at Pistache,” he added.
