Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone (PCFC) has announced the PCFC Emarati Program, an initiative designed to bring more UAE nationals to the economic mainstream of the country. The announcement of the program was made during PCFC’s participation in Career Fair 2006.
The Emarati Program seeks to offer exciting career opportunities to young Emaratis, including school graduates, within various departments of PCFC, thus allowing them to be part of its highly talented and successful workforce. Comprehensive training programs are planned and development opportunities given to the young local talent to enhance their competency profile and motivate them towards excellent performance.
“While the UAE is witnessing strong economic growth, the stability and sustainability of this growth can only be ensured when the national citizens take on the responsibility of driving the country’s economic development,” said Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, PCFC. “The Emarati Program has been launched with the specific objective of attracting national talent and developing existing human resources within PCFC. We are committed to ensure the success of this program.”
Meitha A. Rian, Emiratization Manager, PCFC, said, “The Emarati Program will open new avenues to career advancement opportunities through recruitment, training and development, bringing talented young UAE nationals into the country’s mainstream economic activity. Besides allowing for personal success, the program seeks to harness and channelize young national talent to align itself to the greater purpose of the country’s economic prosperity and make a productive contribution to its overall development.”
