Palestinian parliamentary elections will be held in the Gaza Strip and West Bank in July, six months after this weekend's presidential race, acting president Rawhi Fattuh announced.
"The parliamentary elections will be held on July 17," Fattuh told a news conference in Gaza City.
"After announcing the final results of the presidential election, the winner will be sworn in ... and my authority will come to an end," said Fattuh, who assumed temporary leadership of the Palestinian Authority when Yasser Arafat died two months ago.
