Pakistan PM cuts Davos trip short after Iran strikes

ALBAWABA - Following Pakistan's strikes against Iran, Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar will cut short his visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos. 

Foreign ministry spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a press conference that Kakar has decided to cut short his visit given the ongoing developments.

Earlier today, the Pakistani government announced responding to Tehran's attack and launched airstrikes against Iran on Thursday morning. According to local Iranian media, the deputy security officer of Sistan and Baluchestan said that explosions were heard on the outskirts of Saravan, near the Pakistani border.

IRNA said that the deputy security officer of the governor of Sistan and Baluchistan announced the death of seven non-Iranians near the Iranian border with Pakistan.
