The kitchen at the Algerian Parliament spends AD 16,000 a day to cook 2,000 meals, which is more than enough food to feed the government members a large number of guests, according to senior sources.

Al Yawm daily reports that each meal costs AD 800 and the 2,000 meals are cooked every day even though many National Public Council members regularly miss the daily sessions. (AD67=$1).
