ALBAWABA - Labrinth, the composer of "Euphoria," is pulling away from the HBO show, which starts its much-anticipated third season on April 12.
In a cryptic Instagram post on Thursday night, the Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated musician wrote: “I’m done with this industry. Fuck Columbia. Double fuck ‘Euphoria.’ I’m out. Thank you and good night x.”
Labrinth's latest record, "Cosmic Opera Act 1," came out in January on Columbia Records, where he is signed. Since the show's first season in 2019, Hans Zimmer has been writing the music for Sam Levinson's hit teen drama, which helped Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi get their start in acting. Reports indicated that Zimmer would also be joining as a composer for Season 3.
"Another part of the world of Euphoria!" "Labrinth made this statement when the news was announced." "I'm excited to work with Hans, who is one of my film score heroes, and add some new magic to this new season." "Love x."

Variety asked Labrinth, HBO, and Columbia Records for comment or more information on the statement, but they didn't reply right away.
People who knew Labrinth well wrote supportive comments on his post. Kesha wrote, "Take care of your peace, my love." "You are loved and cared for." I agree with Skylar Grey; please don't stop making songs. The world needs you.
Popular songs by Labrinth that were on the score and soundtrack for "Euphoria" include "All for Us," "Formula," "Mount Everest," and "Never Felt So Alone," which features Billie Eilish and was nominated for a Grammy. These songs have been streamed millions of times.
