Oran attracted more than 190,000 tourists of various nationalities in the summer of 2005. El Moudjahid reports that this figure indicates an increase of 18% compared to the figures of last year. The Tourism Commission in Oran noted that this increase is due to a wide variety of festivals organized during the summer of 2005.
A commission formed by the tourism office and the town council of Oran will meet on September 30 to evaluate in detail the tourism market in Oran for the year 2005 and to define a marketing strategy for 2006 according to the indicators of the year 2005.
