Oman's Imports Increase by 6.4 percent

Official figures released by Oman’s national economy ministry showed that the imports of the country increased by 6.4 percent in comparison to last year. 

According to statistics the imports recorded OR 1,005 billion (OR= 0.60) in the first half of 2001 in comparison to 944,5 for the same period last year, Kuwait’s official news agency (KUNA) reported. 

The Omani imports are mainly electricity supplies, cars, food supplies and chemical and mineral products. 

UAE comes in first place in exporting goods to Oman followed by Japan, UK and the US. 

UAE exports to Oman reached OR 312,1 million in the first half of this year in comparison to OR 289,5 million last year, KUNA said – Albawaba.com
