Norway said Tuesday that it would send 2.0 million Kroner (230,550 dollars) in emergency aid to Palestinian refugees in the Jenin camp on the West Bank.
"After the events of the past few days, the people of Jenin need help immediately," State Secretary Vidar Helgesen at the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The money will be given to local authorities and will be used to buy such items as food, blankets and other necessities for the refugees in the camp, the scene of the worst fighting in Israel's West Bank offensive, AFP reported. (Albawaba.com)
