At least nine armed militants have been killed in two operations carried out by government troops in hills in eastern Algeria earlier this week, KUNA reported Wednesday.
Officials in charge of resistance groups formed by armed militants, which back government forces in the rural areas told press correspondents Wednesday in the Annaba District, that six of the victims were killed in a campaign that was carried out by special troops on hills on the borders between the districts of Qalmah and Skikda, about 500 kilometers from Algiers, the agency added.
