ALBAWABA - A group of activists protested against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in front of his residence in the US capital of Washington D.C. as he is invited to meet with President Donald Trump at the White House.

Netanyahu landed in the US on Monday and will be holding a separate meeting with Trump, before later joining another meeting with White House envoy Steve Witkoff, who is responsible for negotiations to reach a prisoner exchange deal in Gaza.

During the protest, people waved Palestinian flags and broadcasted a video of Palestinian children being bombed, and they chanted, "Netanyahu is a war criminal, free the prisoners, Palestine is not for sale, Netanyahu belongs in prison, Netanyahu, you committed genocide."

Another protest is planned to be held today, Monday, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and a halt to the fighting.

According to the media, the Israeli Prime Minister's visit was urgent and unannounced. Netanyahu and Trump will possibly discuss the hostage deal.
