Hosni Mubarak, Egypt’s President told representatives of a multi-faith conference in Cairo on Tuesday that he is not able to work with the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Israel’s Army Radio reported.
"There is a complete lack of communication, he is avoiding me," Mubarak stated. "I have had working relations with all the past prime ministers in Israel - even with Begin who was tough. I cannot work with Sharon."
According to Haaretz, the Jewish representatives at the conference held in Alexandria told the radio that Mubarak lambasted Sharon for over 40 minutes.
In addition, Mubarak criticized Sharon's decision to confine Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to Ramallah. "There should be more discussion with Arafat. There is no point in keeping him there," Mubarak conveyed. (Albawaba.com)
