Reserves at Morocco's central bank (Bank Al-Maghrib) reached 52.65 billion DH in 2000 ($5.01 billion), dropping by 10.6 percent compared to 1999, reported the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP).
Despite the regression, the reserves are enough to cover six months of imports, said the agency.
Meanwhile, the bank said that Morocco’s foreign assets reached $5.96 billion at the end of November 1999.
The bank added that assets stood at $4.2 billion in November 1998 – Albawaba.com
