ALBAWABA - Italy said Thursday that its military base in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, was struck by a missile, according to the Italian Defence Ministry.
"A missile hit our base in Erbil. There are no casualties or injuries among the Italian personnel. They are all fine," the ministry posted on X.
The ministry further mentioned that Defence Minister Guido Crosetto has been in contact with senior military commanders regarding the attack.
It was not known who was responsible for the attack on the Italian base in Erbil.
