Tech Access – the regional channel development provider of Sun Microsystems’ technology – and its channel partners heralded their recent Middle East and North Africa (MENA) partner sales corner in the Maldives “an outstanding success”.
Hosted jointly with Sun Microsystems, the three day event included presentations on sales developments in the regional storage market, news about Sun’s education programme, and the unveiling of the much anticipated Galaxy server family.
“The partner sales corner was the ideal networking opportunity for Tech Access to ensure that channel partners from emerging markets are armed with the information, skills and tools necessary to provide customers with the right information on Sun’s vast portfolio,” said Kamran Hussain, vice president, Sales and Marketing, Tech Access.
Partners not only benefited from specific presentations which included a detailed outline of Sun’s Roadmap for the future, but also through their own participation in partner break out sessions at the fabulous Kurumba resort.
“The Maldives partner sales corner was an extremely beneficial experience for so many of the partners; we now have an even greater understanding of the Sun products which puts us in an instantly advantageous position when dealing with customers,” said Naser Kana, marketing manager, 3i Solutions, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Interaction was a key feature in the Maldives, with several sessions involving games and prizes for the delegates; thus ensuring plenty of good humour and rapport between partners – a vital element to any business conference.
“It is so important to meet fellow channel partners from across the region in a face-to-face setting; this was the perfect opportunity to actually spend time away from the office environment getting to know people and sharing ideas,” added Kana.
The businesses that took part in the Maldives event also included Black Spider, Engenio, Business Objects, Caspian, New Horizons; CRM business planning was also carried out by Tech Access’ independent consultant, Geoff Lane.
