Marina Towers, the groundbreaking real estate project that has earned its place in the heart of Beirut, is once again making waves with the recent announcement that it is the first Lebanese residential project to be nominated, among hundreds of other projects from around the world, for the MIPIM Awards 2006 at the Palais des Festivals de Cannes.
Each year, around 74 countries from around the globe gather at this exceptional event, with more then 17,000 visitors, 2,000 exhibiting companies, 570 journalists, MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier) has proved to be the world's leading real estate event. It brings together key industry decision-makers from around the world, allowing them to establish long-lasting relations, to present new projects, and to lay the foundations for fruitful collaboration.
Pre-selected from a long list, Marina Towers, with its elegant architecture, smart space allocation, prestigious offering, and strategic location that faces the new Beirut Marina, will run for this award that honors the most outstanding real estate project based on the following criteria: The technical and architectural qualities of the project, the originality of their design, the successful integration into a site, their infrastructure and access facilities, and their service provision.
An international jury of high real estate professionals chose 15 projects, with 3 nominees in each category: Business Centers, Shopping Centers, Refurbished Office Buildings, Residential Developments, Hotel and Tourism Resorts, and these nominated projects will then be put to a vote by all participants at MIPIM 2006.
