Lebanese President to Visit Greece in Early October

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud will make a three-day state visit to Greece next month, according to an official announcement made on Monday.  

Lahoud is expected to meet with his Greek counterpart Constantine Stephanopoulos October 1-3, the statement said, cited by the Beirut-based Daily Star.  

The presidential statement said Lahoud would be accompanied by his wife Andree during the visit.  

Deputy Premier Issam Fares, the director general of Surete Generale, Major General Jamil Sayyed, and Lebanon’s ambassador to Greece, William Habib, will comprise the official delegation accompanying the president. 

The talks are expected to focus on bilateral issues as well as the latest developments in the Middle East, the Star said – Albawaba.com
