The head of the Lebanese Hizbollah movement, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, was awarded an honorary degree by the teacher-training faculty of Tehran University at a ceremony Saturday, Iranian state radio announced.

The degree was presented by Higher Education Minister, Mostafa Moin, the radio said.

Nasrallah, who arrived in Tehran on Tuesday, met Iran's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Wednesday, who called for the movement to continue its fight until "the final victory" over Israel.

It is Nasrallah's first visit to Iran since Israel withdrew its troops from Lebanon on May 24th.

On Friday, he was the guest of honor at the weekly prayers in Tehran University - TEHRAN (AFP)
