ALBAWABA - The Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) warned on Wednesday that the army will use a new type of weapons that they have never used before in war as tension escalates in the region.
The Israeli army announced Tuesday the killing of Ali Larijani, Iran's secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and Gholamreza Soleimani, a senior officer in the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and commander of the paramilitary Basij forces, during attacks on Monday night.
In retaliation for Larijani's death, Tehran launched a missile barrage, which the IRGC said involved 100 sophisticated missiles.
On February 28, Israel and the U.S. carried out airstrikes across Iran, killing senior Iranian politicians and military officials, in addition to then-supreme leader Ali Khamenei and multiple members of his family.
After the death of Khamenei, his son, Mojtaba, was named as the new supreme leader of the Islamic Regime.
In response, Iran launched attacks on Israel and American assets in the region.
