At least five dead in shooting in North Germany

ALBAWABA - A shooting has occurred in the city of Stade in Northern Germany. Five people have been killed, according to German news agency Deutsche Welle (DW).

According to a police spokesperson, two suspects were arrested without revealing any further details about the shooting. 

The last major mass shooting in Germany was in 2023, when eight people were killed in Hamburg, just 35 kilometers from Stade, where this latest shooting occurred.

This story is currently developing as the police stated that a "major operation" is underway, calling on citizens to steer clear of the area of the shooting and to stay at home.
