Kuwait is ready to expand commercial and business cooperation with Ira, said Kuwait’s Deputy Minister of Commerce and Industry Badr al-Abdullah.

Al-Abdullah told the official Iranian news agency (IRNA) on Wednesday that “commercial ties between Iran and Kuwait are historic and deep-rooted and therefore their level should be higher than the current extent.”

The Kuwaiti official emphasized that the level of cooperation among the two nations needs to be increased in many respects, particularly in the field of mutual investments.

"I hope the level of our cooperation would rise in terms of quantity," he told the agency.

Trade volume between the countries reached over 100 million dollars in 2000, said the agency -- Albawaba.com
