Syrian president Bashar al-Assad received a message Saturday from his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Khatami on Tehran efforts in the filed of dialogue between civilizations.
Visiting advisor of Khatami, Ataullah Muhajerani, delivered the message during a meeting with al-Assad.
The Syrian news agency (SANA) said the message dealt with cultural issues and ongoing efforts to show the real picture of Islam and fighting all bids to tarnish Islam.
Muhajerani is visiting Syria to attend a conference on the dialogue among civilizations, in which intellectuals from Syria, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Algeria, Morocco, Bahrain and Spain are taking part. (Albawaba.com)
