Jordanian Prime Minister Ali Abu Ragheb submitted his resignation to King Abdullah II, who asked him to stay on and form a new cabinet, a senior Jordanian official said, according to AFP. The make-up of the new cabinet could be announced as early as Monday, the official added.
Abu Ragheb's outgoing government was formed in June 2000.
Several outgoing ministers, including Foreign Minister Marwan Moasher, are expected to stay on in the new government, the source added. (Albawaba.com)
