Japengo Café recently joined hands with the Tsunami Relief Fund, and dedicated a day to raising funds in aid of Tsunami hit countries.

All proceeds generated from customers dining at Japengo Café Palm Strip on May 16, were donated to the Tsunami Relief Fund, part of the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanity and Charity Establishment. A total of AED 36176 was raised.

Mr. Mohi-din Bin Hendi, President, BinHendi Group said: “The December 26 earthquake and tsunami affected millions of people, leaving nearly 300,000 people dead and thousands more homeless and without livelihoods.

“Japengo Café’s campaign is a small yet important contribution to the ongoing charity efforts of the Tsunami Relief Fund to help rebuild the lives of people hit by the disaster. It is the social responsibility of us all to assist in humanitarian programmes, and we are proud to have staged such an event. The day provided an opportunity for the public to donate to this worthy cause, and we were touched by the fantastic response.”

Japengo Café is a BinHendi brand, which offers a creative mix of fine international cuisine served in fashionable and inviting surroundings. The Japengo Café chain has five outlets in Dubai with plans to expand in the coming year.
Restaurants are located at Jumeirah Palm Strip, Dubai Ladies Club, Sheikh Zayed Road, Souk Madinat Jumeirah and Wafi Mall and offers fine quality Italian, Japanese, Chinese and Middle Eastern cuisine, as well as a wide variety of fruit cocktails, coffees, teas and other beverages.
