ALBAWABA - Israel's Security Agency, known as Shin Bet, claimed that it has received final verification of the assassination of Hamas spokesman, Abu Obaida, in an attack on Gaza City, north of the Gaza Strip.
"In Israel's security establishment, the assessment is growing stronger that Abu Obeida has been eliminated. An official announcement is expected to be released soon," Israeli Army Radio revealed on Sunday.
According to the Army Radio, this is the third time since the beginning of the war that Israel has attempted to kill Abu Obaida, adding that "in the previous attempts he managed to escape, but this time it seems the operation succeeded."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a government meeting that the military “attacked Hamas spokesperson Abu Obaida” and that they are “waiting for the results.”
Earlier today, a Palestinian source told Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels that the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, known as "Abu Obaida," was killed in the attack by Israel.
The Palestinian source confirmed the news that Israel targeted an apartment in Gaza City, northern Gaza Strip, where Abu Obaida was located, adding that the airstrike killed everyone inside.
According to the channels, members of Abu Obeida's family and Al-Qassam Brigades officials confirmed his death after examining the body.
However, despite all the allegations made by the Israeli army and media, Hamas has not shared any comment regarding Israel's allegations that it killed its spokesperson in Gaza, Abu Obaida.
