Israeli prosecutors Monday indicted three captured Lebanese men, members of Hizbullah, on "criminal charges including murder, attempted murder, and membership in a terrorist organization," Israel's Justice Ministry officials said.
According to Haaretz, one of the men is also accused of "murder and kidnapping" because of his involvement in the July 12 offensive in Zara'it, where two Israeli troops were captured and eight died.
The three accused men, Mahmoud Ali Suleiman, Mohammed Sarur, and Maher Qurani, were all members of Hizbullah and have all acted as fighters within the organization, having undergone military training in Iran, the newspaper added.
Suleiman and Qurani have been members of Hizbullah since 1998, and Sarur joined the organization in 2004.
It was not immediately clear how the defendants would plead to the charges, which carry lengthy potential prison sentences.
