The Israeli army barred all Palestinian traffic outside of Area A and between villages in Areas B and C in the West Bank, after a Jewish settler was shot and critically wounded by a Palestinian sniper near the northern West Bank settlement of Kadim on Sunday, according to Haaretz newspaper.

Kadim is located just east of the Palestinian town of Jenin. The occupation army said that travel between the areas would be permitted in humanitarian cases only.

Palestinians are skeptical of such claims, since a Palestinian woman died of heart problems last month after she was barred from heading to the hospital for treatment.

The army also tightened the blockade an all Palestinian cities in the West Bank, said the Tel Aviv-based newspaper – Albawaba.com
