An advertisement published in Sunday’s Arab-Israeli Panorama newspaper threatened hanging for any Israeli Arabs that cast a vote in the coming elections for Prime Minister, reported The Jerusalem Post Sunday.
Managing editor, Bassam Jabber, said in an interview with Israel Radio that Israeli Arabs were and remained faithful to Israel, according to the daily.
He added, quoted by the Post, that although he was taken aback by the tone of the ad, he was not surprised by what he considered a developing separatist trend among Israeli Arabs.
Israeli-Arabs have been the victims of several “criminal” activities by the Jewish settlers within the green-line.
Israel is responsible for the death of at least 13 Israeli-Arabs ever since the start of the Palestinian Intifada on the 28th of September 2000.
The photos of the victims were held by Arab MKs in the face of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak as he was approaching the pedestal of the Knesset to give a speech replying to claims raised against him by several MKs late October.
The Israeli government took the initiative forming a panel of four to investigate the violence which claimed the lives of several Arabs identified in the Israeli constitution as citizens – Albawaba.com
