Iraqi Minister of Trade, Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Salih has received Head of the Islam Nation Group in the United States, Louis Farrakhan and his accompanying delegation.
In the course of the meeting, the Minister discussed impacts of the embargo on the Iraqi people as well as the ongoing aggression conducted by the United States and its ally, Britain, according to the Iraq News Agency on Monday.
He referred to the policy practiced by the US and British delegates at the 661 Committee to suspend contracts, which Baghdad had signed with world companies, under allocations of the oil-for food and medicine deal, INA said.
Farrakhan, for his part, expressed admiration over the Iraqi people’s steadfastness against the aggression and continued embargo.(Albawaba.com)
