ALBAWABA - Israel’s Channel 14 revealed that hundreds of millions of dollars were stolen from the Revolutionary Guard's treasury by Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani and his partner Kamal al-Din Nabizadeh.
Iranian Brigadier General Esmail Qaani is the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) Quds Force. The Iranian regime rushed to implement a series of emergency steps, including opening an internal security investigation and attempting to return the accused to Iran within 72 hours.
In addition, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei refused to meet with Qaani, in an unusual move that reflects the depth of divisions within the institution’s leadership.
The report explained that the Iranian regime is facing great difficulty today in controlling the repercussions of the media leak, which revealed for the first time one of the most serious corruption cases in the history of the country's security establishment.

According to the Israeli channel, Qaani and Nabizadeh are suspected of embezzling nearly $700 million of the Revolutionary Guard's funds.
On the other hand, Iranian sources reported that Qaani was summoned for questioning by Majid Khademi, the head of the Revolutionary Guard's intelligence service. After the session, Qaani requested a meeting with Khamenei, but his request was denied.
Sources explained that the case revolves primarily around a "complex money laundering and sale of resources" allocated to the Iranian army. While its main purpose was to overcome international sanctions, it was actually used to transfer funds to private bank accounts and purchase of real estate in Moscow, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
